After converting thousands of files into slides, we have found that creating slides from JPEG files produces the best results. JPEG files that have been created from images scanned at 300 DPI make excellent 35mm slides. While we prefer to create slides from JPEG files we can create 35mm slides from virtually any digital files including TIF, BMP, GIF and most digital camera files. The end result will be the best possible 35mm slides given the quality of the image file that you send us.

If you send us files produced by your digital camera they will most probably have an aspect ratio that is different from that of 35mm slides. Digital photographs have a shape that is nearly square while 35mm slides have a rectangular 2 x 3 shape. We can fill the space around the image with black or white or we can crop the image to fill the frame.
